Director of National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA), Cooperative League of the USA (CLUSA)
John Dunn is Director of National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA). In this capacity, he is responsible for managing NCBA's $20 million CLUSA International Program, which operates cooperative development projects in 13 countries in Southeast Asia and Africa. In a typical year, NCBA's international program assists cooperatives, member-owned businesses, and community-managed services that benefit 3.5 million people. Prior to joining NCBA, Dunn served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), where he headed the Cooperative Resources Management Division in USDA's Rural Development mission area. Dunn's international experience includes managing Agriculture Department projects in Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa. He also advised the Chinese government on its cooperative business law and assisted the International Cooperative Alliance with its 2006 Global 300 project. He earned his master's degree in agricultural economics from Iowa State University and holds a doctorate in economics from The George Washington University in Washington.
