Amy Smith, MIT Class of 1984 and a 2004 MacArthur "genius" grant recipient, teaches MIT's D-Lab and is the co-creator of MIT's IDEAS Competition. She is co-founder of the International Development Initiative and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
