Panel 2: Sports in Development
SAT, 4/10, 2:40 - 4:00 PM. Location: TBD
Sport is a powerful source for social and economic integration. The universal love of sport transcends barriers and borders and, when used by organizations as a vehicle of change, has the power to transform lives. With major sporting events set to take place in developing countries over the next few years (2010 World Cup in South Africa and 2016 Olympics in Brazil), more attention has been brought to the link between sport and development.
