The results from the study add significant support for those pursuing an Actos Lawsuit claim. The findings for those taking Actos for a lengthy period of time of possible increased bladder cancer risks were in the percentage amount as high as 83.

Their study included more than 115,000 participants and linked the risk to those taking Actos and an increasing risk for those taking Actos more than two years. Prior to the study published in the British Medical Journal, there has been no proposal for why Actos creates a possible increased risk for bladder cancer. The findings of this study from McGill, highlighted a possible cause in the chronic irritation of the bladder from crystal formation caused by Actos.
